Council workers

 At last the municipality has received the result from the court case, whereby 34 people were trying to keep their jobs at the ending of contracts. Unfortunately  the court has upheld the decision. This means that not only 34 more families will be struggling to make ends meet, it also means that  the municipality will lose 1/3 of it's workers. these workers are mainly the maintenance  department, electricians, plumbers etc. Both the council and the opposition were agreed and fought to keep the jobs. It is not known yet whether there will be an appeal allowed.

Extraordinary CITY COUNCIL

Mr Mayor & Mr President of the Municipal Council .

I hereby propose the holding of an extraordinary CITY COUNCIL within 24 hours , with the sole topic validate the dismissal of contractual staff of the Municipality Apokoronas , the Court of Chania .

This court decision creates enormous humanitarian problems , since 34 families of our municipality , left without work and income in an era characterized by economic hardship and poverty.

Operating problems and not only will occur directly in the daily operation of the services and sections of our municipality , and a redundant 34 contractors working in our City services which provide contributory work (cleaning, collection , lighting , plumbing , Mr operators a).

The snap closure and removal , which corresponds to one third of the workforce of the municipality, will create enormous problems resulting in non- elementary response of municipal services in prime protaireotitas needs for citizens , residents and visitors of Vamos .

We invite you to convene IN TEMPORARY CITY COUNCIL , so look at ways of dealing , settlement and rehabilitation of this sad development.

 ΣΥΓΚΛΙΣΗ ΕΚΤΑΚΤΟΥ ΔΗΜΟΤΙΚΟΥ ΣΥΜΒΟΥΛΙΟΥ

Κύριε Δήμαρχε & κύριε Πρόεδρε του Δημοτικού Συμβουλίου.

Με την παρούσα επιστολή προτείνουμε την σύγκληση ΕΚΤΑΤΟΥ ΔΗΜΟΤΙΚΟΥ ΣΥΜΒΟΥΛΙΟΥ εντός 24 ωρών, με μοναδικό θέμα συζήτησης την επικύρωση της απόλυσης των συμβασιούχων υπαλλήλων του Δήμου Αποκόρωνα, από το Πρωτοδικείο Χανίων.

Η συγκεκριμένη δικαστική απόφαση δημιουργεί τεράστια ανθρωπιστικά προβλήματα, μιας και 34 οικογένειες του Δήμου μας, μένουν χωρίς εργασία και εισόδημα σε μια εποχή η οποία χαρακτηρίζεται από οικονομική εξαθλίωση και ανέχεια.

Λειτουργικά και όχι μόνο προβλήματα θα παρουσιασθούν άμεσα στην καθημερινή λειτουργία των υπηρεσιών και των τμημάτων του Δήμου μας, μιας και οι 34 απολυθέντες συμβασιούχοι εργάζονταν σε υπηρεσίες του Δήμου μας οι οποίες παρέχουν ανταποδοτικές εργασίες ( καθαριότητα, αποκομιδή, ηλεκτροφωτισμός, υδραυλικές εργασίες, χειριστές κ.α).

Η αιφνιδιαστική παύση και απομάκρυνση τους, η οποία αντιστοιχεί στο 1/3 του ανθρώπινου δυναμικού του Δήμου, θα δημιουργήσει τεράστια προβλήματα με αποτέλεσμα την μη στοιχειώδη ανταπόκριση των υπηρεσιών του Δήμου σε ανάγκες πρώτιστης προταιρεότητας για τους δημότες, τους κατοίκους και τους επισκέπτες του Αποκόρωνα.

Σας καλούμε να συγκαλέσετε ΑΜΕΣΑ ΕΚΤΑΚΤΟ ΔΗΜΟΤΙΚΟ ΣΥΜΒΟΥΛΙΟ, έτσι ώστε να εξετάσουμε τρόπους αντιμετώπισης, επίλυσης και αποκατάστασης της θλιβερής αυτής εξέλιξης.
