  The Municipality of Apokoronas, continuing the effort it has been implementing in recent years regarding the management of stray animals, and also understanding the financial pressure on households, due to the constant price increases in basic goods, The Municipal Council on Friday 28.01.22, discussed two relevant issues with   Mr. Stavros Stavroulakis reporting. The main goal was to reduce the population of stray animals through financial incentives for citizens who either have or intend to acquire a pet.  One issue concerned the subsidisation of at least 2/3 of the costs of spaying - chipping, etc. of dogs in order to alleviate the cost on the owners who are legally obliged to carry out these procedures and on the other hand to strengthen the efforts of the municipal authority for the  reduction of stray dogs on the streets. The second issue concerned the provision of incentives to citizens to adopt a pet currently owned by the Municipality of Apokoronas, more specifically it was
