Selia Panagyri

Every year the village of Selia in Apokoronas holds a village celebration.
This year they particularly wanted to embrace and honour the non Greek families who have moved to the villages of Selia, Likotinera and Souri. They did this with a certificate.
There was a Greek band and traditional music.

The Bishop of Hania, Damaskinos, opened the proceedings

Mr Giannis Stavianoudakis Had written a very moving address to the company

All the village was there!

I was asked to read out Giannis' speech in English.

The moon was full and it was cool under the trees. A lovely evening!
