On Saturday evening I was surprised, delighted and honoured to be given an award for "Supporting Enterprise in the Apokoronas region of Crete" at the Gala dinner of the Women Empowerment Summit and awards, at the  European Sustainability Academy - Crete  in the presence of HRH Princess Duen Adedoyin-Solarin and Princess Muzvare Betty Makoni . It was a great night. The food was Cretan-Japanese fusion, and delicious The Princesses ( Five of them) were proceeded by drummers down a path strewn with rose petals. Money was raised for the princesses Charity "The Girl Child Network Worldwide"

So where have I been? you may ask. August is always a busy month.  I took part in the play "Charity Begins" It took place in Vamos Preparations Testing the sound system It also  took place in Georgioupolis by the sea. ( We also played in Kefalas) We celebrated Agios Fanourios The new council was sworn in One morning I found time to pop down to Georgioupolis for a coffee It was a breezy day and the red flags were flying The red flag did not deter several bathers -  - even those with small children I was pleased to see beach friendly bins had been provided The last few days have been very hot and humid and the cat decided that the best thing for the treadmill was to use it as a bed! We all agreed!
